Nike GT Cut 3
comprehensive evaluation

A-

Traction
The GT Cut 3 has seen a significant improvement in traction from the previous model. There is a solid zigzag pattern from the heel to the toe, and the front, back, left and right stops work well, especially on clean hardwood floors, and the sense of stability on the court is excellent. The outsole is translucent and sticky, so it is easy to attract dust, and performance drops a little on dusty or dry courts.
And one of the biggest problems with this shoe is the hardness of the inside edge when changing direction. In particular, the midsole is filled with plenty of TPU to increase stability, but it makes it feel awkward when changing direction.
Running
The Air Zoom GT Cut 3 is the first to feature ZOOMX cushioning used in running shoes, and is characterized by a lightweight cushioning that combines softness and rebound. Although the explosiveness is modest, it has a solid rebound and stability, improving ease of running. In particular, the hard foam in the heel area prevents the foot from slipping, making it smooth to transfer weight forward. It also provides more stability during jump shots, and while still feeling like a running shoe, it can also handle the intense movements of basketball.
Fit
As for the fit, the upper is thin, and there is a sense of unity that wraps around the entire foot. It seems to be wider than the previous model, and the upper is thin, so the fit is different. The shooter and shoe holes reduce the pressure on the ankle and allow for fine adjustments. There is also moderate arch support, and the overall lightweight design fits the foot well, but if you are concerned, we recommend trying it on.
Overall 8.2/10
The GT Cut 3 basketball shoes provide a balanced performance with particularly good stability and midfoot support. There is no problem with grip on a clean court, and it takes quite a short time to fit the foot. On the other hand, it may struggle in dusty or dry conditions, and the lateral switching may feel a bit awkward due to the design of the shoe. Overall, it is a highly recommended pair for players looking for stability and support on the court.
