Nike JA 1
comprehensive evaluation

A-

Traction
The traction uses a herringbone pattern that is well-known for its stable grip all over the surface. It is a pair of shoes that will surely grip on the court, and can handle forward, backward, left and right movements, which is in line with Ja Morant's playing style. If you wipe the sole with your hand once during play, it will work fine even on dusty courts, but it may be slightly affected depending on the condition of the court, but it is still very durable and no wear was observed even after long-term use.
Running
The midsole is made of phylon material and has Zoom Air on the front. This Zoom Air is smaller than the conventional one, but it is firmly raised on the surface of the strobel and the rebound was felt sufficiently. It provides propulsion especially when driving and jumping, and allows you to reach the highest point quickly. However, players such as centers may feel that the shock absorption is slightly weak.
Fit
The fit of the Nike JA1 uses an EP last, and is designed to fit Japanese feet well. It is tighter than it looks, and there is a sense of security that it wraps around your feet firmly. However, you may feel that the vertical length is slightly insufficient, so in some cases we recommend going up half a size.
Overall rating: 8/10
The JA1 is a pair of shoes with no quirks, overall stability, and no noticeable flaws. It is recommended not only for Ja Morant fans, but also for beginners who are not yet sure what type of shoes will fit them.
